Koi Pond DPP Challenge Painting News by Mary Beth Brath

The Koi Pond painting created during Linda Young's DPP Challenge was juried in to a year long show at a prestigious law firm on Wall Street.  This painting would not exist if it were not for the DPP Challenge Blog. I would like to encourage all of our members to participate in this part of our group.

Lovely poetic softness and movement. Beautiful!

Congratulations on the honor and I hope some Wall Street banker buys it!

I would like to participate in the challenges, but find it difficult to fit it in between all my other commitments. Perhaps if the challenges were 2 months instead of one I could find the time.

Congratulations, Mary Beth!

Have to agree with Julie... I wish I can do more, but I only have so much time to do it all... have to make choices.. Still... I hope to be able to participate at some of challenges. And Koi are such a wonderful subject to paint! Too bad I missed that one.

Hurray, Mary Beth - good for you! I really like the shapes and forms here. I was doing well on those challenges for a few months, but it really got very difficult to fit it in. I'm going to try again -perhaps keeping them small.
