This is a two-morning study of two homes in Sellersville, birthplace of Walter Emerson Baum. While I was painting, a man stopped by to tell me that he bought his home from Walter Baum. In fact, I do believe Mr. Baum painted this exact scene (minus the shed), but so far I haven't found the image online. Here is a painting of Baum's that I especially like:

Taryn, I like the bold simplicity of the painting of the house. The shapes dominate and make a real statement.
Fantastic Post Taryn.
That would be interesting to paint another artist's house and maybe feel some connection to what he saw every day. Your painting is great and I see similarities to how you and Baum both handled the trees.
I like it! Your grays are so colorful.
Fantastic painting, Taryn! I love the strong light and resulting shadows.
