Deb Watson Summer Vacation

Oil Painting in Progress - First Day

First day of summer and I covered an 11 x 14 canvas with the first layer of oil paint of a little girl at Hershey garden.  I'm going to alternate working on my oils and watercolors.

Once I get all the kinks in composition I can worked out on the oil, I'm going to do a gallery wrapped watercolor of the same scene.

For the next picure, I'll reverse it and do the watercolor of the scene first, then the oil.  In between, I'm going to finish some of the watercolors I have laying around that are half done.

It's going to be a fun summer. www.debwatson.org

Not a bad idea Deb. Working with a couple mediums is awesome. If only there were enough time in a day! Love the composition. Great start!
