Rt 22 April Snow by Ron Donoughe

Last weekend we got about 7 inches of snow in Cambria County. That's pretty freakish for late April. On my way back to Pittsburgh I couldn't resist stopping to enjoy the subtle beauty of the lightly tinted landscape.

If anyone is interested,  I'll be offering a 3-day workshop in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, August 10-12. I've never been there but it looks like a charming town with lots of Victorian architecture.

Delicate range of grays- one of my favorite colors. Very nice.

Ron, I'm glad you were able to do something so intriquing with a late snow that I would have considered depressing! The composition is wonderful and I agree with Taryn that your grays are quite varied. I love making my own grays!

I live in Cambria county as well. I'm on 22 quite a bit. I love this painting. I also agree with the above!

I love the design of this, Ron - as well as the beautiful, subtle color.
