Early Spring at Codorus State Park by Mary Beth Brath

Codorus State Park
8x10" Acrylic on Canvas

March was a very busy month, but part of that busyness was painting!  This was painted on location and touched up in my studio. I have come to realize over the past 4 years that spring is my favorite time to paint outside.  There is just something about the fresh growth and the promise of summer that makes me sing.

Beautiful painting, Mary Beth. I love the colors of blue in the water and the sky- a nice darkness to them both. Nice brushwork as always.

I love to paint at Codorus State Park. This captures the feel of the park, and the colors are great. Did you know the park just purchased the Girl Scout Camp property.
