In progress.... Dianne Lorden

This is the first part of a picture I've been thinking about for a while. I have developed a mock-up of the entire piece, but remain undecided about the details of the other elements. So, I haven't even sketched them out on this paper! As this is the bit I have the most information for, I did some work on it today. I'm hoping, by the time I've gotten further along with the girl, the answers will come to me for the rest. Ahhh, winging it!
So, it's a departure, as I do generally sketch out the main elements of a pastel in charcoal on the surface before I start painting. It's all Rembrandts, at this point, done on Tiziano/Fabriano paper (black).
