I love designing still life and then capturing the mood. This was designed around the green clay pot that had subtle color notes that were influenced by the surrounding pottery. I like to find plain and simple subjects and try to paint them with rich colors. You can see more paintings at www.hanoverareaarts.com/42

Wonderful volumes in your shapes, Sharon. Use of yellow on the vase and background is stunning.
I really like this painting, Sharon. Your use of color is amazing. I think the bright yellow vase and the yellow in the background really works well with the colors in the rest of the painting and the flowers are the perfect touch.
Sharon, I do not think I have ever seen a painting from you that wasn't a landscape. I must say I am very impressed at the rendering of the forms and the sense of depth in this image - and still it has that wonderful color sense that is so prominent on your landscape work - makes it instantly recognizable as a Sharon Benner.
Wow, Sharon, what beautiful color and application of paint. A beauty.
Great job, Sharon. The glaze on the green one especially is spot on.
I love color - and when I see someone paint color beautifully, it literally gives me goosebumps. I am covered in goosebumps, Sharon!
A great arrangement! Really great technique too! Love this!
I agree with Claire. This one gave me goosebumps and chills; it is so breathtaking. This is spectacular!
This painting was also well received on facebook Sharon. I just love it.
Thanks for everyone's positive comments. I think I'll set up another and paint in the studio until Spring arrives.
