Winter's Majesty
14" x 11"
Acrylic on board
Palette Knife
This painting was done for Gary Keimig's Wilderness Art Challenge. Gary took this photo of Togwotee Pass near Dubois, Wyoming. My computer monitor is showing the blue in my painting very bright and very blue. Again, I will attribute this to my camera. When getting the correct blue, my mountains "wash out". It is an acrylic painting done on board using a palette knife. If you have any questions or wish to purchase, please contact Pat. To see more of my paintings, please visit my website and blogspot at:

Beautiful, Pat! Very well done and you know... Jim and I actually went to see Gary when we were at Jackson and saw this beautiful mountains! You painting does a good justice to it... Once again - well done!
One word. Wow! Beautiful use of color!Very stunning. I can feel the cold!
Pat,
I love it! And I don't know how different the blue looks in person but I love it on my computer screen! Great job on this one.
Beautiful as always. I so love your use of color.
I love your exciting brushwork, especially in these dramatic trees.
Thanks, everyone for your wonderful comments. Tatiana, did you actually get to meet Gary? Taryn, I had a sculpting compound in my paint and used a palette knife. The mixture is too thick to work with a brush.
Yes, Pat, I did met him! I was at his gallery, then we went to have lunch together, talked a lot. And he told us to take a turn of Togwotee Pass on a way back to Jackson to see those mountains you painted a beautiful lake what is surrounded by those mountains. on a way there we met Grizzly bear and I took great shots... about 25 feet away. It was WOW kind of experience. I so want to go back one day.
