oil on panel
6"x6"
This
young woman was taking photographs of the sweeping view of the Benjamin
Franklin Parkway as seen from the Philadelphia Art Museum. I like to
imagine her "looking" as a metaphor for the start of the new year, when
we like to look at the year we leave behind, as well as to focus on the
one coming up.

What a neat idea! We are always looking forward to something aren't we? Another very interesting post in this series. I'm amazed at the information you get on a 6 x 6 panel. I always imagine these are at least 12 x 12.
I agree with Ron - I am always surprised at the small size of your work, and the impact you are able to convey. I saw this up on the Daily Paint Works site - and it is really magnificent.
I agree with the above. Excellent work!
This is another great piece Taryn. I have really enjoyed watching as you add each piece to this series. Beautiful Job!
