Return to Harpers Ferry by Linda Young

copyright Linda Young 2012
Harpers Ferry 2
10 x 15
This is the second painting I've done of the Harpers Ferry.  The photo reference for this painting was of a gray sky and the trees didn't have much color to them.  I don't really know what the colors of Springtime look like at this historic location; I hope to return someday to paint there again and find out.

Is'nt it fun to be an artist when you can change a drab picture into a beautiful watercolor? Great job, Linda!

It is totally believable! I like the red chimney accents. They make a nice contrast to all the different greens.

This makes me want to be there- heck, to live there.

This is so inviting.....the colors are stunning, so many shades of green yet perfect harmony. Love it!

Thank you. Coming from those of you who studied art in college-- to me who picked up the brush in her 50's, I appreciate your critque and comments and use them to grow. Sincerely, Linda
