"Waiting for the Parade" by Taryn Day

oil on panel
7"x8"

I caught this pretty girl having an introspective moment while waiting for the next section of the Mummers parade on New Year's Day. In case you haven't noticed, I sure like a quality of dreaminess in a person.

I like that you make me wonder what your subjects are thinking, Taryn. It pulls me even deeper into your work.

Yep, I agree. This is a really interesting series. It tells the viewer something about you and that is special. Artists usually have an inner life and this visually tells us that. Maybe these are self portraits?
