LATE AFTERNOON SHADOWS
Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Late Afternoon Shadows'
Oil
11 x 14

When I was on my search for the 'ultimate' hay bales
late last Summer, I came across this old red barn
that was catching the late afternoon sun.  The shadows
were so intriguing, and I knew that this was something
that I would have to paint!

My idea of heaven is spotting a perfect little scene like this and then capturing it on canvas, to be held forever.

...makes me want to walk up the road, sit on the grass and bask in the sunlight near the barn.

Thank you, Cecelia. I was thrilled to find this - was out looking for hay bales and came across this great barn :)

I'd like some of that warm sunshine myself, Linda. Thanks for commenting!
