Hi Deb - after reading your post, I went back and looked at the painting again. How interesting - the pose is open and you get the feeling of the woman gently guiding the child forward. She is nurturing...yet strong. Wonderful! So glad you were at the First Friday reception last night and were able to share your artistic process with our community.
