SHARPSBURG FARM LANE
Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Sharpsburg Farm Lane'
Oil
16 x 12

This summer when I was painting with fellow friend and artist
Deb Richardson down on the Antietam Battlefield, she
graciously gave me a tour of some of the significant farms
that are found there.  I took photos, and made some notes
so that I could paint some of my favorite scenes  while
up in my studio this winter, and this is one of them.

Lovely picture! And knowing what happened at Antietam gives it a special layer of meaning.

Excellent, excellent painting, Claire! That road cutting into all the peaceful green really makes the painting.
