Cardinal in Snow

I painted this little guy yesterday and today in the studio. I just love the way he's nestled in the snow. I've never painted animals before so this was a lot of fun!

I love these bright red birds that liven up the cold winters with their cheery color. You have done a beautiful job of expressing that feeling!

Great accomplishment for two days' work! I so enjoy cardinals in the snow; they're amazing. Blue jays, too. This is lovely and I really like your treatment of the snow and branches.

Your background brush strokes are to die for! I am absolutely mesmerized by this painting! Even the little flecks of snow on the feathers! Gorgeous!

Thank you everyone! It somehow feels so personal painting something that is living. I really enjoyed doing it and plan on doing more.
