copyright Linda Young Title: And the Angels sang Arches 300# CP WC Paper |
When I was finishing and painting the dark sky in, I began at the lightest area and worked outward. Mixing the paint and applying it with my brush, an angel mysteriously appeared at the brightest point near the bottom left side of the star. This was not planned and was one of those happy accidents we, as artists get from time to time. Suddenly, the song " Glory to God in the Highest" came to mind at that moment and I wanted to give the angel a few more celestial bodies around it to join in their singing. I painted in negative shapes a few more; but they just weren't as nice as the One that appeared on it's own.
Merry Christmas

This is beautiful, Linda - I love the way the star pulls you right into the painting.
