"Leah at Sea" and "Joel" by Taryn Day

Here are two recent portraits, one of my sister Leah and one of my brother Joel.   There is always a little more you could do in a portrait of someone you know...a little more to the nose, to the ear, the eyes- but I try and stop once I feel that the person is there rather than just brushstrokes.  Hmmm...maybe the lips.
