This is a watercolor pencil for the most part, with some colored pencil in the grass and on the fence boards. The goat youngster (who's grown up by now, as I took the photo a couple of years ago) lives on the grounds of a Pennsy/Dutch-style restaurant in the Lancaster area.
I'm still experimenting with the watercolor pencils and just completed this today. This will be one of six of my paintings on display, and for sale, during the Gettysburg Festival's Gingerbread House Reception and contest during the first weekend of December. It will be held in the Adams County Arts Council's new Arts Education Center on Washington St., Gettysburg.
My work can be viewed at my fine art site: South Mountain Sketchbook

You're really making some great headway in working with this watercolor pencil medium, Dianne! It's so much fun to see what you're doing with it.
Looking forward to working on more colored pencil techniques with you in the class starting Monday!
It is great to see how you are coming with the watercolor pencils. This piece is so adorable. Great Job!
Such as cute kid! I like the colors too.
This little goat is so adorable, Dianne. I am really enjoying seeing what you are doing with the water color pencils - I was fascinated when I saw Amy painting with them when we were out on the Gettysburg Battlefield!
