Day 98

I had planned to go out painting with my plein air group
today, but the morning started out grey and drizzly.
Not wanting to waste the morning, I started painting on
some projects I already have in the works.  By noon, the wind had
kicked the clouds out of the way, and the sun had popped out,
so I decided to paint the tree tops of the beautiful
maple trees in my yard.  Even with all of the snow we
got last weekend, there were still a lot of
wonderful, colorful leaves to paint!

Only two more to go...

Claire, this painting is wonderful. The color contrast of the leaves and sky is so appealing, as is your brushwork and the close-up, cropped view.

Very beautiful fall painting! I love the colors on this as well as the angle you chose to paint! Wonderful piece!

Love it! You really captured the color and light of fall.

This painting should be huge, like the size of David Bottini's--so beautiful.
