This past weekend, we got whammied with an early snow storm
that knocked out our electricity for almost three days. My
ultimate goal was to try to stay as warm as I could, and so
when I got enough light to paint, I thought this gala apple with
a nice warm-colored background would be great.
The only problem was that while I was painting, I kept
thinking what delicious warm applesauce this apple would make...
or an apple crisp straight from the oven...or a hot apple pie...
All things that would have required electricity...
Of course as soon as the electricity came on, my priorities
shifted from thoughts of warm apple deliciousness
to just getting a nice WARM shower!

Looks great! MMMM I can smell the apple crisp! Glad your power is up!
I happen to have a slice left over from last night ready to heat up for you. Hope you didn't lose any trees or have damage to your property.
