Berries by Daily Painter of Pennsylvania Mary Beth Brath

"Berries"
2 1/2" x 3 1/2" Mini ATC - ACEO Acrylic on Linen Canvas Paper
#1 of 50 Mini Daily Paintings in 50 Days

On September 1st, I started a personal challenge to create 50 mini paintings in 50 days.  What a challenge to find the time to paint, photograph and post!  Prioritize I keep telling myself.  Stick with the purpose.  The purpose is to keep growing as an artist.  Today is actually day 8 of the challenge...I am a little behind in the photographing and posting parts.

I set up an area in the studio to improve my pictures.  I pulled out a tripod, connected the camera, mounted the mini on another easel in front of the camera, lined it all up perfectly and figured out the best settings.  I photographed this painting earlier in the week, but did not leave up my set up for more photos.  Then I realized, hey - I am going to do 50 of these little gems, so I better get organized.

Having a system in place is the only way I can get things done. Don't know if I made sense, got to go paint!

I can relate. Being organized is important. Not one of my strengths. This is really nice. Like the richness of the saturated color of the berries. Keep painting.

Thanks! They are piling up on my desk. Yesterday I took some photos and posted on my personal blog. I will try to post on here later today to show a couple of days paintings.

It's called 'working smart', and saves so much more time to just paint. I love this - the color of the blueberries is perfection.
I can't wait to see more, Mary Beth!

I really like this blueberry painting. The smoky blue is well done and realistic.

Great little painting... and wow, kudos for the impressive goal and creative organization. I agree with Claire, it's the only way to work. :) Look forward to seeing more!
