Euopean Eagle Owl Colored Pencil by Charlotte Yealey

11x14
Colored Pencil
I photographed this owl at an event at Codorus State Park when they were showing captive birds. I learned something new that day about owls that their eyes do not move in the socket like ours do but they can move their head all around.

Owls have always fascinated me, and also scared me a little bit - they seem so aloof and magestic at the same time. This is beautifully done - one has to wonder what has captured the owl's attention!

Another Beutiful winner! The Eyes Have It! The way you have the owl looking off the painting makes this stand out!
