"Looking for the Sun" by Taryn Day

oil on panel
6"x6"

I'm happy with this painting, which is a relief after several days of frustration.   These sunflowers are one of about five varieties growing on the Blooming Glen Farm, and I wish I knew what they are called.  I find their modest heads more appealing than those monstrous ones with  flat blank faces the size of saucers.

Wonderful painting. For me, the title turns it into a story.
