"Rooftops on a Hazy Morning" by Taryn Day

oil on paper
5.5" x 7"

I went back to my old standby this morning, sitting in the shade on top of Cemetery Hill, looking over my lovely hometown of Perkasie.

A landscape rarely looks the same way two days in a row, some days being more humid than others.   I've found that I can work on a painting a second day by not changing much of my initial drawing or color, just adding to what I've got started.  In other words, I have to trust my initial impression.

Nice geometric arrangement Taryn. It is always fun to see how you simplify the shapes.

Very nice Taryn. Love the shapes and the feel of the painting.
