oil on canvas
I don't seem to be able to grow hollyhocks in my garden. I try, but they always turn brown and bumpy with rust before they bloom. So when I spotted this charming house in Mechanicsburg I had to paint it.

Julie, I just love the color of that house. I haven't grown hollyhocks for years and I'm glad you spotted this home so you could paint this scene. You did a great job!
Thanks Diane. I love this charming house too.
Julie - I used to pass this house on my way to and from work, and always thought I should paint it. You captured it perfectly - so beautiful!
Great painting- vivid colors, and I love the way you've composed it.
Excellent work Julie.
This is a stunner, Julie. Tight, interesting composition and drawing--beautiful sunlit colors.
