Acrylic on Canvas
Golden Haze was done in acrylic on raw canvas using a staining technique. It was greatly influenced by Helen Frankenthaler who used oil paint on raw canvas. Whereas oil paint will ultimately destroy the unprimed canvas, acrylic paint will not. This painting will be one of 2 of mine that will be on display at the Harrisburg Capitol East Wing Rotunda in the DPP Exhibit during the month of June. The DPP Exhibit will then be transferred to Gallerie 13 in Mechanicsburg, Pa during the month of July. If in the area, please stop by to see it. Pat, this piece looks great hanging at the capitol. I really like this staining technique and the luminous golden yellow hues.
Really nice painting Pat!
This looks awesome at the State Capitol. I will post photos. Today, there was a group of about 200 people in the Rotunda when I stopped by to put out more brochures.
I CAN NOT WAIT to see this in person, Pat. This is so full of life and energy!
