The Field adjacent to the Trostle Barn , Gettysburg Battlefield

This is a small plein air painting of the field next to the Trostle Barn on the Battlefield. It will be at the reception today along with the Distant view of Trostle Farm. Today being Sunday  there will be a reception exhibiting the work the Plein Air artists did during this past week I put the fenc in front of the tree after I got home and it looks much better. 8 x 10 acrylic on canvas. another beautiful day.We were so fortunate.

The softness makes it seem like it is from the period of the battle and the field waiting for what is to come, or its ghostly aftermath. So beautiful!

Thanks for joining us this year at the festival Madeline. Hope to see you at Gallerie 13 on July 1st for the DPP reception. This painting is dreamy!
