This pastel is a "representation" of a photo I took at the GNMP, with some changes I've made based on "artsy stuff" I'm experimenting with. So beautiful, Dianne. This type of rural landscape always tends to be my favorite paintings of them all.
One of my favorite farms on the Gettysburg Battlefield is the Rose Farm - and you have painted it beautifully. The owners have changed the colors of the shutters to be more of a green color, but I think this color - which was on previous to the change -, was by far the most attractive, and really set off the colors in the stone. Absolutely love this!
I love seeing work in progress, so this inspired me to post a work in progress! Beautiful Dianne!
The warms over the tree grouping behind the house, challenge my perception of space with what is going on in the cool blue greens on the left.
