Salsa

Well, I am so close to being done with this. Everything is done for my dad's birthday painting, except for the hand-made label on the front of the salsa jar. I have to wait for the white to dry thoroughly before I paint the label in.

Question: Does the aluminum foil look like aluminum foil on top of the jar of salsa???

Wow! Incredible! Your colors look like something from the old masters! Very very nice! I just love this!

Thank you Michael! It is an old master palette. I'm glad you like it!

Nice painting! And yes, it sure does look like aluminum foil.

Very lovely! I'm in love with those tomatillos, or whatever they are on the right. Foil is looking good too.

Thanks for the feedback Taryn. It was such a process on the aluminum foil that I couldn't quite tell when I was done!

Thanks Tatiana! They are tomatillos and if you haven't painted them they are fun. I love the beautiful solid green on the inside and the papery skin on the outside. The papery wrap is fun to paint!

A wonderful still life.

Yes, which gives it a contemporary aspect to an antiqued color scheme. Nice juxtaposition.

This is gorgeous, Christine! Your foil on the salsa jar reads perfectly, and that shiny tomatillo with its papery skin is exceptional. Your dad is going to love this.
