Dogwood tree en Plein Air by Linda Young

Dogwood tree en Plein Air

10-1/2" x 7" Watercolor

I had to sit down to paint this tree before the blossoms fell from it. The tree is in front of my home and used to be seen from the road; but the maple trees have grown so tall and out of control, it's hard to see this beautiful tree. I tried to paint the airiness and delicate petals but it just wasn't the cards today.

Still practicing plein air painting...

Wow Linda, I think your plein air painting is wonderful. This tree is beautiful and does look so soft and airy and serene. Great Job!

Thank you Kathy, I am sure that I'm my own worst critic.

I am so looking forward to painting with you at the Gettysburg Festival, Linda. You are doing beautiful plein air work here, and we are going to have so much fun painting out on the battlefield with the other artists in June!
