Circ du Soleil, 9 x 12, oil, by Ron Donoughe

After spending the last 8 days in Paris I wasn't sure how to react to Pittsburgh. These wonderfully festive shapes with a french twist were an easy target. Plus the music from the performance could be heard from where I stood. It only added to the experience!

Thanks Claire. I enjoyed the tribute to your Mom. Peonies? They were my mother's favorite also. I've read that they can live up to a hundred years old!

Great painting as usual. I would find that a real challenge to paint. I'm envious about Paris!

Love the circus tent and Paris - It makes me think of drinking champagne in the morning and painting! Must be quite a contrast from Pittsburgh.
