Wildwood Afternoon by Steve Wetzel 11x14 oil

This painting was previously completed en plein air at Wildwood Lake near Harrisburg, PA. Years ago, prior to this area first being called Wildwood back in the early 1900's, it was originally known as Wetzel's Swamp. As much as I would like to claim my ancestors were muck barrens, I don't believe the Wetzels of Swamp fame were close relatives. This piece was just recently juried into the 40th annual exhibit of art at the Suzanne H. Arnold Gallery of Lebanon Valley College.
