I played with the perspective on this one. My reference photo was taken at an angle for some drama. The painting has some sculptural areas where the application of the paint is built up to show texture. I love working with Alizarin Crimson and Cadmium Red. This is part of my confections series. I finished this one over the weekend. Notice a couple of pieces of the cheesecake are missing...guess what painting is now being finished on my easel...ha ha. (These will show in my special July exhibit).
