Trout Run Preserve Mini by Mary Beth Brath

Trout Run Preserve by Mary Beth Brath

3 1/2 x 3 1/2" Mini on Acrylic Paper

I need a new digital camera. No matter how hard I try to get a clear and true to color image, this is what I get. Guess this one is a must see in person!

I painted this in my studio this week from a photo I took last summer at Trout Run Preserve in Cumberland County PA.

I know where that is!
Funny a Trout posting (Thom Glace) and a Trout Run Preserve posting!
I love the long tree shadows and the distant background and the back-lit leaves. I think the painting to too big though.

I have a friend who lives in Trout Run , and gave them a set of coffee mugs with local trout on each mug - and the name Trout Run.
Beautiful painting!

I think this is just gorgeous; the palette is exquisite and I just want to be sitting on that bench!!

Thanks - this was really fun. Sue - you may be disappointed to learn that I may make a much LARGER version.

Can NOT believe this is so tiny! You've realy got a wonderful sense of sunlight in this, Mary Beth.

Looks like a lovely place to sit and reflect. Perfection on such a small piece!
