WILDWOOD, EARLY SPRING By Cecelia Lyden

acrylic
8x10
Several of the SVPAP group were happy to be painting on such a warm, sunny day. I had packed several shades of green, but found I did not need them. There was no new growth in the preserve that my eyes could detect. I added a touch of green oxide in the foregound grasses just to provide a hint of spring. Mostly this was an occasion to get outside and to paint with such nice people.

This is wonderful, Cecelia. I especially like the golds and blue-violets working together.

You plein air artists amaze me; you capture the essence of the day in a flick of the brush! Nice.
