REDBUDS ALONG THE BATTLEFIELD
Original Oil Painting
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'Redbuds Along the Battlefield'
Oil  9 x 12

Last Spring we took a road trip to the Gettysburg Battlefield
and I was able to get some nice photographs of the redbuds
and dogwoods blooming.  This particular view is from
Ayers Avenue along the Auto Tour.  I loved the way the
light was streaming through the trees, catching the
colors of the redbuds and creating beautiful diagonal
 shadows in the foreground.

Very hopeful, very spring like-the sunshine looks warm and inviting--I love the way it filters through the trees, down the grassy slope and onto the path.

Gorgeous, Claire -- I'm so anxious to see those trees in bloom again this year!

Claire, such a breath-taking view of springtime. your soft style really lends itself to filtered light. It's very appealing.
