newest 72 X 48" painting by David Bottini, 'for Gabriel'

The past five weeks has been a fun challenge - while working a few smaller pieces, this large 72 X 48" painting has been a major focus of effort ... working to create an inviting composition. i worked with repeated curves and contrasting warm and cool color to open the space and pull a viewer within the canopy and into the curving path leading ...
Just helped load the painting on an art van ... on it's way to framer in Santa Fe - then to a Canyon Road gallery : )

This is gorgeous. I love the curves and you certainly succeeded in drawing me in to the painting. Spring is coming and I can't wait to get out of the house!

Beautiful! I want to go there and sit in the sunlight on the grass between those trees.

Very nice and inviting! I love finding big works. So many here are quite tiny.

I certainly wish I could study this up close--I agree with Susan--I've been painting, small, plein air for 2 months and am itching to paint something big. This is a beauty, David.

Thanks for the comments! This painting is appealing - I had great fun with the challenge of the scale (compounded by my small studio space).
I laid-in three smaller pieces today - and I already miss the physicality of the large scale - so ... I know more are soon to come.
(thanks, Ron - I need to find the "Signature" interview)
