Debi Watson ~ Watercolor Going To Washington

This is a half sheet watercolor painting of a street scene from Lancaster, PA that was just accepted for the Baltimore Watercolor Society's Mid Atlantic Regional Juried Exhibition. I drive by here often and liked the abstract feel of the new bill board against the old laundry building. www.debiwatson.com

Debi--I love the subject matter, the composition, the figures, the lights and shadows, the wires, the abstract quality, the whole feeling of the scene--nothing more worthwhile than depicting the everyday scene, warts and all. I wish you luck in the competition.

I agree with Cecilia. This works in so many ways. Love it.

Congratulations Debi! It is a great painting and the shadow on the building is especially interesting.
