"Wolf in the Snow" Oil Painting by Charlotte Yealey

8x10

Thinking how wildlife has to deal with this cold weather, I painted this wolf bedded down in the snow. This painting is now for sale at the Art and Soul Gallery in Lemoyne.

I've often wondered about what the wild animals do in this cold and snow and bitter chill myself. This is beautiful, Charlotte!

The wolf is painted to perfection, the textures, his face and his curled up position, and I also love the placement of the tree limbs-the 2 diagonal ones, protecting the animal and the horizontal limb connecting the 2 sides of the painting, plus all that "cold"negative space around him.

As beautiful as this painting is- Charlotte, I am drawn to the abstract lines of this painting.

It is what separates it from other nature paintings.

Woof! Woof!
