"Winter Dance" by Dianne Lorden

This is the view outside my sun room window; I'm afraid it's as close as I'll come to plein air in these temperatures!! I used to take that wind sock in for the winter, but one year it snowed early and I saw how festive it looks with snow as a backdrop. I've left it out ever since. No doubt it won't last as long, but what a pleasant site in the depths of January. This pastel is done on Fabriano Tizano "flecked color: pastel paper with a variety of pastels.

DIane, I love your style, it's so whimsy and carefree! Beautiful colors. My company imports Fabriano to the United States, and I am so glad to see you using it so well!
