My husband and I went to his family farm in Susquehanna County in PA. His family has land outside of Montrose near Friendsville - an area they call Irish Hill. This is from a little patch of land that he wants to put a home on where another had burned down years ago. I love the serenity of the area, and the trees are about 150 years old. Pennsylvania is just so beautiful!

PA is beautiful and you have captured a part of it so beautifully. The snow looks fluffy and and light. What medium and what size is the painting?

Thank you both! It is Sennelier half and full stick pastels, Cretacolor Pastel Carre' and it is on a substrate that I am testing for my company. We are in the process of testing so we can introduce it to the art material world. The image is 8x10.
PA IS very beautiful and I've only been there visiting or on the way to/from somewhere else. I love the mountains and trees and green, the stone houses I've seen...
Anyway, love this beautiful piece with that pink light shining through!

Tatiana, Yes, we are so close to deciding and it has really been fun testing. I really did like all three substrates, but the one I used for this painting was my favorite. The other two were the Starfruit with Qumquates, and the Beach Breeze paintings that I had posted here. If I get the ok, I will bring them to the meeting on the 6th of Feb for my demonstration. Hope you will be able to make it.
