A little foray into mixed media: this 5-1/2 x 5-1/2 is pastel over watercolor. Believe it or not, I had never done this before and did find it offered an interesting exercise in planning ahead (not my strong suite). I certainly will experiment with it more.

I like it...it is very whimsical and interesting. i especially like the varied dark tree line.
I think it is really a strong and pretty piece. I would love to see more!
