This is the latest in my vintage painting series. I loved the austere feeling of this house on an unpaved road. The source photo that I used was taken on April 12, 1920. The street runs under what is now the Bloomfield Bridge.
This is a really wonderful piece. I love the mysterious feeling in this piece. You do a wonderful job bringing these old photos to life. What a wonderful way to preserve the past.
I'm enjoying these vintage painting posts so much, Ron! I love looking at our old family photographs and speculating about the surrounding area as it's depicted in those photographs, so these are really striking a chord with me.
