CHANGING WEATHER By Cecelia Lyden

acrylic
8x10
What started out as a warm, sunny morning with a few puffy clouds at the Fort Pierce Marina, rapidly changed into a cool overcast morning as storm clouds began to form. Two weeks ago, I painted alone in the drizzle. Last week the fog was so thick, I could not see the ocean, the horizon-nothing. This week, Tuesday morning looked promising. Several of us showed up to paint. Most of us finished our painting before the threat of rain sent us packing.

Love seeing your posts from Florida. We are waiting for a load of snow to hit us today. Great atmosphere in this painting.

Cecelia, I am just enjoying looking and re-looking at this painting so much, as I stare out my window at the snow and the gray skies. My husband and I had a chance to go to FL last winter to visit his sister in Ft. Lauderdale, but won't be able to get down there this year. This brings back fond memories and helps warm me up, all at the same time! Keep posting these lovely glimpses of warmth and sunshine!
