THE LAST LIGHT OF THE DAY
by Claire Beadon Carnell

'The Last Light of the Day'
Oil  6 x 8

This is a repost of a painting I did about a year ago
of a snowy farm as seen from the Bonnybrook Road
in Carlisle, PA.  I have been wishing
for a little bit of snow to
go with the frigid weather we have been having here, so
maybe this will be my good luck charm...
Here's to hoping we have a White Christmas like
we did last year :)

When did you paint the farm I grew up on?

Seriously This looks exactly like the farm I grew up on outside of Carlisle- besides which- it is a wonderful painting! Thanks for the memories!

Beautiful painting Claire! My husband and I often take rides through the Carlisle area and we come across many farm areas with great barns...love the sun hitting the farmhouse. Well done.."again".

You have captured the beauty of the snow covered fields and barns that I love so here in PA. Beautiful job.

I know this farm very well; I was lucky several years ago to get a photo of it with snow. I hope you get your White Christmas wish for it this year. Very calming colors.

Love the perspective Claire. Great feeling of peace at the end of the day.

When I look at this painting, I feel like I am walking through the snow towards the farm and taking in the beauty of the snow. Great job, Claire!
