"Pont Neuf" by Dianne Lorden

Finally! For some reason, my pop-up blocker has been the cause of innumerable woes lately, including posting on DPP. Anyway, I figured that out yesterday, under fire, while putting out our Arts Council's monthly E-Press. Must've been some update that changed settings somewhere.
Anyway, this pastel on sanded paper was an attempt to be more impressionistic than I usually am, with sort of mixed results. But now, I'm taking a pastel class with Laurie McKelvie (first one yesterday) and she promises to yank me out of my comfort zone. That's great, 'cause I'm really sinking into the couch there! Glad to be posting again.

Great to see your post Dianne. Thank you for the reminder about your People's Choice Award. And a big THANK YOU for helping hang the Brafferton Inn Exhibit.

It was my pleasure to help out. I just hope you didn't catch my "bug." On the mend now, but it took antibiotics to get there!

Oh but that couch is so-oo comfy-nice to have an incentive to innovate.

Look at it as an adventure. I like the loose use of color and texture.
