Our plein air group met on another beautiful fall day at a spot near Middlesex, where the LeTort stream meets the Conodoguinet. I have to say that capturing water splashing over rocks on canvas was a challenge but kind of fun. It suited my style of painting of working quickly and splashing paint on a canvas.

Oh, Cecelia...you never fail to impress me with your beautiful work. I can almost hear the rush of the water...absolutely lovely.
Painting water IS fun!! You really captured the movement here with your gestural brushstrokes.
I know just the spot; I especially love the water and rocks on this painting. You plein aire painters have way too much fun!!!
This is lovely, Cecelia -- I agree with the others about how well you've captured the rush of water.
This is a wonderful painting Cecelia! I like how you handled the water coming over the rocks..It was a good day!
