Fall Walk, Maria Kovalenko Leysens

I did this 9x12 inch watercolor as a demonstration for my watercolor students.
We talked about the layers of a painting and how to show direction and depth.
The color was fun too.
Happy Thanksgiving!

This is sooo beautiful. I love your choice of colors. It really pulls me in to the painting and I just want to be there and walk down that gorgeous lane.

What an appealing composition and wonderfully muted colors!

Yes, I agree with Kathy and Bertie. The muted colors really allow the more intense colors to sing. Very nice painting Maria.

Very lucky students to have such a gifted watercolorist as their teacher.
