Cape May Water Lilies
9x12" Acrylic on Canvas
Cape May County New Jersey has a wonderful park called Cameron State Park. This was painted from my own reference photo. The painting is being installed in the Dauphin County Courthouse today as part of my Solo Exhibit sponsored by the Harrisburg Art Association. I will have 14 pieces on display now through the end of January 2011, in the Recorder of Deeds and the Register of Wills offices.

One of my very favorite paintings by Mary Beth! And no, it has nothing to do with the fact it is a "floral painting". :-)
This is my favorite painting of yours! I especially love the water, on the plants and the pond itself.
This is really stunning, Mary Beth -- it really shimmers with light! Very convincing.
Wow! Very very nice Mary Beth! This is a wonderful painting!
Thanks for the great comments. My photo is so detailed that I couldn't miss. I installed the exhibit today, but could not fit in 3 of the paintings I had with me due to a leak in the ceiling. If I would have installed the show yesterday, my work may have been damaged.
Love the composition and the depth--special painting.
I agree with the others. This is one of my favorites. The surfaces are all rendered nicely and I just love the way the water lily contrasts and sits on top.
Great painting! I especially like the highlights on the lily pad. Congratulations on your show!
Absolutely luminous, Mary Beth. This is a beautiful painting! Best wishes and congratulations on your exhibit!
What's left to say, that wasn't already said. Fantastic painting, Mary Beth. Congratulations on your exhibit.
Yeah I agree. It is a very successful painting. Congrats on the show.
Wonderful paining Mary Beth. Water lilies are one of my favorites and this one is wonderful!
They've said it all. This is a stunning painting. Sure to sell.
Your lily is so lifelike and the reflections make the painting sparkle. Great work!
