This watercolor piece was completed a couple of years ago as well. I had a wonderful teacher who gave us an assignment. She had a young relative addicted to prescription drugs. This was to be a quick practice study so rather than do our own photography on this we were told to use catalog and magazine pictures and change them to fit the scenerio. I found a beautiful black and white photo of a lovely girl. This was what I came up with. I wanted to be able to show a sense of hope. That is one of the things I found I love about painting - to be able to tell a story. It allows you to put your heart and soul in your work.http://www.artbykathymichels.com/
